Cambodia Airways Siem Reap routes just expanded: the carrier has launched three new international connections linking Siem Reap directly to Bangkok, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City, giving travelers a way into Angkor Wat’s gateway city without transiting Phnom Penh.
The new routes
Cambodia Airways is now flying Siem Reap-Bangkok Suvarnabhumi five times weekly, Siem Reap-Da Nang four times weekly, and Siem Reap-Ho Chi Minh City twice weekly, rising to three times weekly from October 27, 2026. All three routes operate on ATR72 aircraft.
Why it matters
These routes mean travelers flying in from Thailand or Vietnam can land directly in Siem Reap and start exploring Angkor the same day, instead of connecting through the capital first. It’s a meaningful time-saver for anyone combining Cambodia with a Thailand or Vietnam trip.
What it means for your trip
If your itinerary includes Bangkok, Da Nang, or Ho Chi Minh City alongside Siem Reap, check these new direct connections before booking a longer routing through Phnom Penh. Landing direct means more time to settle into where to stay in Siem Reap before an early Angkor start. Combine with Cambodia Airways’ domestic Phnom Penh-Siem Reap and Siem Reap-Sihanoukville flights for an easy Angkor-plus-coast itinerary, or add an overland leg with the Siem Reap to Battambang route.
